Audio Descriptions:
Audio Description Support for YuJa Videos:
Accessible video content is an essential component of inclusive course delivery. In addition to closed captioning, current Title II ADA requirements call for audio description to ensure that essential visual information is accessible to students who need it.
What is audio description?
Audio description provides narration of important nonverbal visual content, allowing students to access information presented on screen that is not conveyed through the existing audio.
Available Support
Through Title II grant funding provided by SUNY, Buffalo State has secured a limited number of YuJa Generative AI credits to support audio description production.
The Instructional Design and Distance Learning (IDDL) and Student Accessibility Services (SAS) teams are collaborating to provide this support. Because resources are limited, requests will be reviewed based on student access needs and urgency.
