How to Make Your Seat Reservation for Your Exam in the Testing Center
Make your seat reservations for your exams in the Testing Center using the online form available on the SAS website. If you require assistance in making a seat reservation for your exam, you may come to the Testing Center and the Learning + Accommodations Specialist will assist you in learning how to use the online form. All seat reservations for exams must be made using the online form. The Testing Center is located in the E. H. Butler Library, Room 160, across from Starbucks.
Students are required to make their seat reservations for their exams with the Testing Center at least five to seven days prior to an exam that they would like to take in the Testing Center using their exam accommodations.
Any seat reservations for exams made fewer than five days prior to the exam date may be considered a late request. Late requests are approved based on availability in the Testing Center and are not guaranteed.
Meet with your Instructor(s) to discuss details of any seat reservation for an exam that may require the exam to be taken at a date and/or time that is different from the rest of the class (refer to the five options above for guidance).
Follow the guidelines for scheduling seat reservations for exams in order to avoid scheduling conflicts and ensure that you are always in attendance for classes:
FIRST: Whenever possible, make your seat reservation for your exam on the same date and begin the exam at the same time that the exam is scheduled for the rest of the class.
When you cannot make your seat reservation for your exam using the first option because of an academic barrier (back-to-back classes, extended time, etc.), follow the steps below to resolve the conflict and make your seat reservation for your exam appropriately.
SECOND: Make your seat reservation for your exam on the same date and begin the exam at a time which overlaps the duration that the exam is scheduled for the rest of the class.
THIRD: Make your seat reservation for your exam on the same date that the exam is scheduled for the rest of the class.
FOURTH: Speak with your Instructor to see if they have a Make-Up day for exams in their class. If they do, make your seat reservation for your exam for the Make-Up day.
